The Mandarin Duck is adorned with breathtaking plumage, showcasing a vibrant array of colors. Males boast elaborate patterns of iridescent green, blue, purple, and orange, with distinct “sails” of feathers extending from their backs. Females are more subtly adorned, displaying a mottled brown plumage that provides excellent camouflage in their natural habitat.

These ducks inhabit wooded areas near lakes, rivers, and ponds, where they nest in tree cavities or other sheltered locations. They feed primarily on seeds, nuts, fruits, and aquatic invertebrates, foraging both on land and in water.

Ducks will be 8 months to 1.5 years old when shipped.
